Would a Liar Live Like This?

Look at what the message cost the man who brought it.

What does a man gain by inventing a religion that gets him boycotted, exiled, and buried with his armour in pawn?

Reflection

Frauds have a shape. They accumulate wealth, or power, or comfort. They soften their claims when the pressure rises. They exempt themselves from the rules they impose. It is fair to ask whether the life of Muhammad ﷺ fits that shape.

Say, "If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you, for I had remained among you a lifetime before it. Then will you not reason?"
Qur'an — Surah Yunus 10:16Translation: Saheeh International

Explanation

Forty years among them, known as al-Amin, the trustworthy. Then thirteen years of persecution in Makkah, ten years of hardship in Madinah, and a death in which — Sahih al-Bukhari records — his armour was pledged for a measure of barley. His enemies, asked whether he had ever lied before his claim, said he had not. The Qur'an's argument here is simply: you know this man. Reason.
