The Finger and the Sea
The Prophet's ﷺ only comparison of this life with the next.

How much of what you are anxious about today will matter in a thousand years?
“By Allah, this world in comparison to the Hereafter is nothing but as if one of you dipped his finger in the sea — let him see what it brings back.”
Explanation
The Prophet ﷺ did not give a ratio. He gave an image you can perform: put your finger in the sea, lift it, look at the drop. That is this life. The sea is what remains. Islam does not ask you to despise the drop — it is real, and it is where everything is decided. It asks you to remember the sea.
