Why Would God Speak?
A Creator who made minds would have something to say to them.

If you were made on purpose by One who knows you, would He leave you to guess what the purpose was?
Reflection
No good parent hands a child a life and no instructions. No engineer builds a machine and hides the manual. The idea of a Creator who makes beings capable of asking 'why?' and then stays permanently silent is stranger than it first sounds.
He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]."
- Qur'anQur'an 20:50
Explanation
This is Moses's answer when Pharaoh asks who his Lord is: the One who creates, then guides. In the Qur'an the two are inseparable. Every nation received a messenger; no one is punished before being warned. Guidance is not an interruption of creation. It is what creation was for.
